Description: Our solera program is approaching 3 years and the taste just keeps getting better. This barleywine, now made up of 3 brews, is hitting great notes of rich malt, grape, prune, fig, raisin, and caramel. The blend is now made up of 34% aged in our solera puncheons (2 x 500L tawny port puncheons and 2 x 500L sherry puncheons) for 29 months 19 days; 24% aged in Penelope red wine-finished bourbon for 11 months and 16 days, then blended into our solera puncheons for 18 months and 3 days; and 42% aged in Penelope red wine-finished bourbon for 17 months and 21 days, then blended into our solera puncheons for 11 months and 28 days.
